Original, custom artwork
Every portrait is an original oil painting made by hand for one customer. Because each piece is painted individually, natural variation in brushwork, texture, and color is part of the work.
Timing
Most portraits are completed in approximately 3–5 weeks, not including shipping. Timing varies with size, number of pets, the current commission schedule, and the time oil paint needs to dry.
Approval and revisions
A photograph of the finished portrait is sent to you for approval before final finishing and shipment. Reasonable minor adjustments to color, markings, or small details are included. Changes to composition, pose, background, or reference photo after the painting is complete may not be possible.
Reference photographs
If a submitted photograph cannot be used, Thery will contact you and ask for another image or additional references. Sending several photographs at the start makes this less likely.
Cancellation
Before painting begins, a full refund may be available. Once painting has begun, amounts paid may be non-refundable because of time and materials already committed. Completed or approved portraits cannot be canceled.
Refunds
Because portraits are custom artwork, completed and approved commissions cannot be returned or refunded due to a change of mind. If an issue is the artist's error, contact Thery so an appropriate resolution can be arranged.
Damage in transit
If your painting arrives damaged, contact Thery within 48 hours with photographs of the painting, the packaging, and the shipping label, and keep the packaging until the issue is resolved.
Shipping
Shipping is $20 flat rate via FedEx Ground within the United States, generally arriving approximately 2–5 business days after the portrait is finished, dry, approved, and shipped. Tracking is provided. International shipping is not currently offered; customers outside the U.S. may write to ask about exceptions.
Rush commissions
A rush commission may be possible depending on the schedule, size, and deadline. Please ask before ordering. Rush fees may apply and a deadline is not guaranteed until it has been confirmed.
